- ✕Turbine power depends on your unit's airflow
Who this powerhead is for
The TurboCat 8695 is for someone with a low-voltage or air-only central vacuum who wants the simplest turbine head there is, or who is replacing an older TurboCat and wants the same thing again. Retailers cross-reference it to the TurboCat II, Plus, TL2000, T210 and TP210, and say it is the same head as the P7. It is a Vacuflo (H-P Products) design sold in gray, black and white variants.
It is the plainer sibling of the TurboCat Zoom 8702, without automatic height adjustment or the quiet-drive belt.
What the specs tell you
Retailers list a 13 in width, 5 lb weight, a cogged belt, a friction-fit wand connection and no height adjustment. Thirteen inches balances coverage and maneuverability. Five pounds is light. A cogged belt is toothed and will not slip. No height adjustment means the brush height is fixed, which works on most carpets and bare floors but can drag on very deep pile or lose contact on very low pile.
As with any turbine head, there is no power or brush speed figure, because the brush is spun by your power unit’s airflow through the hose. A strong unit on a short run spins it fast; a small unit at the end of a long run or behind a full bag spins it slowly. That also means a turbine head is a useful diagnostic: if the brush slows over months, your filter, bag or pipe is the likely cause, not the head.
The practical difference from an electric head is on thick carpet. An electric brush motor keeps its speed when you push the nozzle into deep pile; a turbine slows as the airflow is restricted. On low to medium pile and bare floors that difference is small. On deep plush it is noticeable.
Not published: warranty, noise and the belt part number. The sources are two retailers; no H-P Products page is in the record for this model.
Fit and compatibility
No electrical connection. The friction-fit neck pushes onto a standard wand and works with low-voltage, air-only and electric hoses, regardless of inlet type. A wand is required and is not included.
What’s in the box, and what you still need
The record does not itemize contents; the product is the head. You need a wand, a hose of any type and a power unit. Identify the belt and keep a spare; no part number is in the record.
Warranty and support
Not published. Vacuflo is dealer-only; no support URL is on file and its marketplace stance is unknown. Vacuflo’s attachment warranty page, cited in our hose records, notes counterfeit Vacuflo hoses on marketplaces, so confirm the seller is an authorized dealer and keep your receipt.
Living with it
Clear wrapped hair from the brush roll often; a slow turbine is usually a wrapped brush. Check the turbine intake for debris if it stops. With no height adjustment there is nothing to set, but test it on your deepest carpet to make sure the brush keeps spinning.
What we’d verify before buying

- Which color variant your listing is (8695 gray, 8695-BG black, or white and gray).
- Your power unit’s airflow on the run where you will use it.
- That the seller is an authorized Vacuflo dealer.
