"Not yet verified" means the manufacturer has not published the figure or we could not confirm it. We never fill a gap with a guess; our own measurements are added once a unit has been tested hands-on.
The short version
What we like
- ✓50 ft reach with a 1.25 in ID
- ✓Swivel handle and on/off switch at the handle
- ✓Crushproof construction
- ✓2-year warranty per the listing
What we'd change
- ✕Longer hose means more weight to drag and some suction loss
- ✕Will not power an electric powerhead
- ✕Specs come from retail listings, not an OVO page
Who this hose is for
The OVO 50 ft low-voltage hose is for a home where inlets are sparse: one per floor, a large open-plan main level, or a garage inlet that has to reach a driveway. If your 35 ft hose leaves a corner you cannot reach, this is the fix. It uses standard low-voltage inlets and switches the unit from the handle.
It is not an upgrade for its own sake. A 50 ft hose is heavier to pull around and stores less neatly, and it carries no 120V for an electric head.
What the specs tell you
Retail listings give 50 ft, 1.25 in inside diameter, crushproof, swivel handle and on/off switch at the handle, model ACCHO-50LV-BK. The 1.25 in ID is the standard central vacuum hose bore and matches standard wands and tools. The swivel handle lets the hose rotate at the grip so it does not twist as you move, which matters more as hoses get longer. Crushproof means it springs back when stepped on.
Length is the whole point and the whole trade-off. Fifty feet reaches rooms a 35 ft hose cannot, but every added foot adds friction, so the tool end gets slightly less suction, and the hose weighs more. On a strong power unit near the inlet you will not notice; on a small unit at the far end of a long pipe run you will.
Not stated: material, weight and the exact inlet types supported. OVO’s 35 ft sibling lists standard 1.5 in inlets with two low-voltage contacts, which is likely the same here. Weight is the figure we most want for a 50 ft hose, since dragging it is the daily experience.
Fit and compatibility
The universal low-voltage wall end has two contacts that close the 24V start circuit when plugged into a standard inlet; the handle switch interrupts that circuit so you can stop and start the unit. It carries no 120V, so electric powerheads will not run; air-driven turbine heads and plain tools work. Proprietary 2-prong inlets are not standard; check yours.
What’s in the box, and what you still need
The record lists no contents beyond the hose. You still need a wand, floor tool and attachments, a power unit with compatible inlets, and a hanger stout enough for 50 ft of hose. A hose sock is a good idea at this length because the hose will touch more furniture.
Warranty and support
Two years per the listing. OVO’s warranty documents do not mention Amazon or other marketplaces; they are for the original owner with proof of purchase. OVO (Nadair, Laval, Quebec) offers phone and email support and notes no parts or repair service in Quebec after sale.
Living with it
Fifty feet of hose needs a home. Hang it on a wide hanger near the inlet you use most, coiled loosely. Use the swivel to keep it from twisting as you work rooms. Keep the wall-end contacts clean. If suction at the tool seems weak, test the same tool on a shorter hose before blaming the unit.
What we’d verify before buying
- Material and weight: not stated.
- Inlet compatibility statement: inferred from the 35 ft sibling.
- Whether your power unit has enough reserve for 50 ft on your longest pipe run.
- OVO’s handling of a marketplace warranty claim: not addressed in its documents.

Frequently asked questions
Does a 50 ft hose reduce suction?
Somewhat. Every foot of hose adds resistance, so expect a little less pull at the tool than with a 35 ft hose on the same unit. On a strong unit it is minor; on a small unit at the end of a long pipe run it is noticeable.
What is the hose diameter?
1.25 in inside diameter per the Home Depot listing.
Will it run an electric powerhead?
No. It is a low-voltage hose. Use OVO's dual-voltage pigtail hose or a direct-connect hose for electric heads.
Does the handle swivel?
Yes, per the listing.
What is the model number?
ACCHO-50LV-BK per the Home Depot title.
What is the warranty?
2 years per the listing. OVO's documents do not address marketplace purchases.
