"Not yet verified" means the manufacturer has not published the figure or we could not confirm it. We never fill a gap with a guess; our own measurements are added once a unit has been tested hands-on.

Who this unit is for
The NuTone PurePower PP7001 is for owners of large homes, rated by NuTone for 2,500 to 10,000 sq ft, who want the most filtration NuTone offered and a utility valve right on the unit for sweeping the garage. For anyone replacing a NuTone with NuTone inlets and 391 bags on the shelf, it is the top of the line.
It is discontinued. That does not change what the unit does, but it changes who stands behind it. Broan-NuTone’s central vacuum line is now owned by Drainvac, and the support path was not reachable when we checked.
What the specs tell you
NuTone’s spec sheet lists 700 air watts and 130 in of water lift from a single-stage, 2.35 HP thru-flow motor drawing 13.5 A. Air watts predicts carpet cleaning power at the tool; 700 puts it level with OVO’s 700 units. Water lift is sealed suction, what keeps the system pulling through long runs and vertical climbs; 130 in is enough for NuTone to rate it at 10,000 sq ft, though OVO’s 750 and VacuMaid’s 8.4 in units publish more.
Noise is 63 dB, the quietest PurePower.
Collection is hybrid FlexCollect: bagless into a 6 gal debris pail by default, or NuTone 391 bags via the included adapter. Filtration is what NuTone calls Sealed HEPA 2.0: a glued-seam HEPA filter on the dirt side and a secondary exhaust HEPA filter that catches carbon dust from the motor brushes. That exhaust filter is the feature that matters most if you cannot vent outside.
CFM is not published.
Fit and compatibility
Standard 2-inch pipe, wall bracket mount. NuTone lists low-voltage and direct-connect electric inlet compatibility; low-voltage crimp connectors are included. Plug-in 120V on a 6 ft cord, 13.5 A, recommended minimum 20 A circuit. Not hardwired.
Exhaust outside is recommended. Dimensions: 13.25 in wide, 14.625 in deep, 38.5 in high. Weight 27.5 lb. The height is the practical constraint: measure for 38.5 in plus pail clearance below.
What’s in the box, and what you still need
In the box: the power unit with utility valve, wall-mount bracket, 6 ft power cord, debris pail, sealed HEPA filter, exhaust HEPA filter, bag adapter and low-voltage crimp connectors.
Not included: hose and attachments, pipe, fittings and inlets. Add 391 bags if you want bagged mode and an exhaust wall cap if venting outside.
Warranty and support
NuTone’s terms: 10 years on parts, with the first 6 years parts and labor at an authorized service center, for the original purchaser. Registration is recommended; NuTone reserves the right to limit the warranty if the unit is not registered. Evidence of purchase date is required, and NuTone says not to return the unit to the place of purchase. Marketplace purchases are not addressed.
Living with it
Bagless emptying means lifting the 6 gal pail and dumping it outdoors. Bagged mode uses NuTone 391 bags through the adapter. Two filters need attention: the sealed HEPA filter on the dirt side, and the exhaust HEPA filter, part S10941416, which will darken with carbon dust over time; the record gives no change interval, so inspect it when you empty the pail.
The utility valve on the unit means you can plug a hose straight into the power unit for garage or car cleanup. At 63 dB, a garage wall with outside venting is still the right home.
What we’d verify before buying
- CFM: not published.
- Current warranty administrator, given the Drainvac transfer and the broken link.
- Marketplace coverage: not addressed in NuTone’s terms.
- Availability of 391 bags and the S10941416 exhaust filter going forward.
- Whether the listing is the PP7001 and not a sibling PurePower unit.
